About The Dwarf Name Generator

Dig for gold, hoist your axe, and create dwarf names with the dwarf name generator! Generate random names, or choose a dwarfen name based on your own name. It's great for tabletop roleplaying games (RPGs) and online multiplayer games (MMORPGs). The generator creates names for male and female dwarfs of all ages, and can be used to create fantasy names for World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, or to make any cool dwarf name.
There are a few dwarf name generators around already, but I couldn't find one that gave the option to create both random names, and names unique to the user of the name generator.
This generator is currently in beta as I'm still adding and refining the names. I've recently added different races of dwarfs and styles of names, including The Lord of the Rings (LOTR) based names and Warhammer names. Check back soon to see even better dwarf names and new descriptions!
Please note: this is a fan commentary page intended to encourage interest in the fantasy race known as dwarfs. Tolkien created an extensive world in The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion and other works, and a very small amount of the Tolkien's works are quoted here under fair use. Similarly, Games Workshop have created a very extensive world in the Warhammer Universe, and their dwarf naming conventions information is quoted here under fair use. All information was gathered from factual reference material lists in the public domain. (Wikipedia 1).
