About The Dwarf Name Generator

Create dwarf names with the dwarf name generator! Generate random names, or choose a dwarven name based on your own name. Great for roleplaying games (RPGs) and online multiplayer games (MMORPGs). The dwarf name generator creates names for male dwarves and female dwarves of all ages, and can be used to create fantasy names for World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, or to make any cool dwarf name.
There are a few dwarf name generators around already, but I couldn't find one that gave the option to create both random dwarf names, and dwarf names unique to the user of the name generator.
The dwarf name generator is currently in beta as I am still adding and refining the names. I've recently added different races of dwarves and styles of dwarf names, including The Lord of the Rings (LOTR) based dwarf names and Warhammer dwarf names. Check back soon to see even better dwarf names and new descriptions!
Please note: this is a fan commentary page intended to encourage interest in dwarves. The unofficial Warhammer dwarf name generator and the unofficial Lord of the Rings dwarf name generator are not official publications and are not in any way affiliated with or endorsed by Games Workshop, the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien, Tolkien Enterprises, or any of their licensees. Copyrights and trademarks for the books, films, articles, and other promotional materials are held by their respective owners and their reference is allowed under the fair use clause of copyright law. Tolkien created an extensive world in The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion and other works, and a very small amount of the Tolkien's works are quoted here under fair use. Similarly, Games Workshop have created a very extensive world in the Warhammer Universe, and their dwarf naming conventions information is quoted here under fair use. All information was gathered from factual reference material lists in the public domain. (Wikipedia 1). The extremely limited quotation of Tolkien's works and Games Workshop's works is in no way intended to harm or undermine the market value of those works, rather to encourage fans to engage with and seek out those works.
